We all know who won and who wore what, but the outside winner at this year’s Oscars was Angelina Jolie‘s right leg.
Now with its own Twitter account (@AngiesRightLeg), and over 17,000 followers, ‘the leg’ has been photoshopped around the world into other images, even Christopher Plummer‘s Best Supporting Actor Oscar win moment, and videos have gone viral.
After Billy Crystal introduced her as “the original girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” Angelina strutted onstage, parked herself at the microphone with hand-on-hip, and dramatically splayed out her right leg.
The blatant stance was not lost on Jim Rash who, accepting the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for The Descendants with co-writer Nat Faxon and director Alexander Payne, quickly put his Oscar on his hip and mocked Jolie’s sultry stance.
