DAVID BAILEY: EAST END

David Bailey helped mould Swinging London with his ground-breaking style, creation of one of the first supermodels (Jean Shrimpton) and all-access shots of the cream of the A-list, including  The Beatles, Mick Jagger, Andy Warhol, and Bob Dylan.

One of the world’s most famous photographers returns to his roots this month with the exhibition East End, at Compressor House, London Royal Docks, just one mile from where he grew up. Produced by Create to coincide with the Olympics, East End features a selection of photographs Bailey has taken in the area over the last 50 years.

Watch the video, courtesy of  Crane.tv, as Bailey talks about his parents, political correctness, and why he doesn’t like being photographed.
