UK. Putting a sophisticated spin on a night out to the cinema, The Lounge at ODEON Whiteleys, London has partnered with Rowley Leigh as Consultant Chef to design an in-house menu.
The menu can be ordered from the comfort of your seat, and is available in finger, fork and spoon choices. Finger dishes include salsify fritters with aioli, a meal of hot dog, popcorn and ice cream soda, and a hamburger ‘royale’ with fillet steak. Fork foods feature red and prawn risotto, fish and chips with gherkin, and venison chilli with beans, sour cream and onion. Spoon foods cover desserts, such as banana split with Valrhona chocolate and vanilla bean ice cream, passion fruit cheesecake, and sticky toffee pudding with custard.
A couple will be able to see a film and enjoy a meal with waiter service and a glass of wine for £30 to £40 per head.
Rowley Leigh is renowned as one of abiters of modern British cooking, and has worked at Le Gavroche and Kensington Place Restaurant, before opening Le Cafe Anglais within Whiteleys of Bayswater, London.
