GOOD FOOD ON THE GO

If you’re hitting the road this summer, eating well on the go is easier than you might think. Frequent traveller and chef Sam Talbot shows how, with a little preparation, you can make delicious snacks and meals instead of relying on tasteless pit-stop convenience foods.

Sam Talbot is a chef, author, and US television personality. The former founding Executive Chef of the Surf Lodge in Montauk, NY, and Imperial No. Nine, a sustainable seafood restaurant in the Mondrian Soho Hotel in NYC (Zagat and Michelin Guide-recommended), Sam’s earlier career includes Executive Chef of the Black Duck in Gramercy Park, and his first restaurant, the Williamsburgh Cafe in Brooklyn.

Sam is a leading force in the ‘integrative kitchen’ movement, which seeks to break down the walls between the way we eat and live, and his inventive dishes have garnered praised from The New York Times to Forbes Magazine.

A diagnosis of juvenile diabetes led to Sam’s profound understanding of the direct impact between food and life – the driving force behind his cooking style and recipes – and he is the author of The Sweet Life: Diabetes without Boundaries.
