JIM LEE: ARRESTED
London. Photographer Jim Lee celebrates 50 years in the industry with a retrospective exhibition, Arrested, now on show at Somerset House until June 5. CraneTV interviews Lee and Peter York, who has written a book of the same name to accompany the exhibition.
Starting his career by photographing bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, Jim Lee worked as a fashion photographer in the ’60s with designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Gianni Versace, and Ossie Clark. He developed a close working relationship with Anna Wintour early in her career, and went on to collaborate with some of the most celebrated designers of our time, including Alexander McQueen and Valentino, and directing television commercials for fashion and beauty brands such as Aquascutum and Elizabeth Arden.
