ACCOR has launched reBorn, a special eBay online store to sell the hotel group’s second hand furniture.
Nearly 2,500 items, including Louis XVI bedside tables, bronze chandeliers, 1980s wing armchairs, minibars, outdoor furniture, and even safes are being progressively put on sale. The hi-tech design integrates smartphones into the headset, and is optimised for intuitive music control via gestures, such as swiping upwards to increase the volume, downwards to lower it, forward or backwards to navigate through the track list. Active noise control monitors internal and external sound, which can be isolated and cancelled. Just taking them off stops playback. Compatible with smartphones via bluetooth, a bone conduction sensor detects jaw movement, optimising sound for clearer calls when engaged in a telephone conversation. FRENCH CONNECTION will launch a home and lifestyle range this spring. Mixing traditional and contemporary styles, the range will include bedding, soft furnishings, living textiles, ceramics. Hand-blown recycled glass, driftwood, and kiln-fired ceramics create the rustic feel of the collection, and a muted palette of cool grey to neutral putty will feature in bed linen and accessories, such as chunky knit throws and cushions, vases, and candles. Star pieces to make note of include the hand-woven wool and leather rug, safari chair, and ‘Born 1972′ French Connection clock.
