The Crowne Plaza hotel in Copenhagen is launching an energy efficiency initiative to reduce their carbon footprint, save electricity and money, and encourage guests to get fit. Guests will be offered the chance to power the hotel by using electric bicycles, and a free meal will be offered for those who produce 10 watt hours of electricity. The scheme will run for a year and, if successful, will be offered in all Crowne Plaza hotels in the UK.
