The Hotel du Marc is the 19th century neoclassic private mansion of the House of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin in Reims, France. After four years of renovations by designers Mathieu Lehanneur, Pablo Reinoso, Fredrikson Stallard, and the Campana Brothers, it has reopened with exclusive accommodation available in just five guestrooms.
Sustainable building techniques enable the building to achieve 85% autonomous energy and reduce its carbon footprint by 90%. Heating and air conditioning are provided by geothermal sources via an underground water table, and cooling and warming tubes have been built into cellar to offer ventilation.
